Be With Me..

Woke up pretty early today! slept for 8 hours but still feeling super tired.. well guess i should be cause i just had a three day threatcon charlie exercise in my base.. super tiring.. we were made to wear bullet proof vest which were so heavy and we looked like turtles.. haha.. but with that aside.. started the day having the urge to watch a movie which i haven't watch for quite sometime.. the last was initial D and i watched it alone that time.. this time i also watched it alone.. Be With Me.. a film by Eric Khoo.. a very good show.. it comprises of three stories that somehow exist together at the same time but doesn't coincide with one other.. the first story was about an old man who owns a grocery shop.. whose beloved wife was about to pass away.. lost all hope to carry on in life.. closed his shop everyday.. listless from time to time.. he had a son who seldom visit him.. second story was a fat young man who was condemn by his family but took the courage to fall in love with a young female executive when he was working as a security guard at the office building.. he only hopes to get close to her and to know her.. the third story was about two females (Ezann Lee and Samantha Tan) who fell in love with each other.. but only for Sam(played by Samantha) to know that she didn't want to continue having a lesbian lover and had a boyfriend in school.. she just wanted a normal relationship.. but Jackie( played by Ezann) couldn't accept the truth and attempted suicide.. only to fell on the young fat man who was able to write a decent letter to the woman whom he loves... the forth and the most inspiring story was about Theresa Chan.. a true story.. she was blind and deaf at the tender age of 14.. she gave up any hope of living.. but thru determination and help from people like Elizabeth Choy, she was able to overcome her handicap and live life to the fullest.. even to the extend to teach the blind handicrafts and to help the less fortunate kids in india.. she believes that GOd is her only hope..

this whole movie spoke so much with little script.. its an arty arty film but each picture spoke with volume even without any lines.. it centers on true love and hope in life.. all of us need hope and love to carry us thru our lives.. but what kind of hope and love are we holding on to or looking for? human love? hopeless promises or empty hope? there are some worldly hope which promises many many things in life.. like job prospect, relationship, money, etc.. but there's only one hope which is never failing and always there.. that's the hope of God.. the echo of hope.. and love? well we always search for true love.. but there can only be one true and pure love.. and that's the love of God.. Theresa Chan held on to this two.. and lived lifes sometimes even better than us.. though she couldn't hear the birds singing and see the sun setting.. but there's hope in her heart.. sometimes in life we will meet with tragedies but it is not the end of the world.. whether it is losing someone or something in life.. there is always hope and love in God thru Jesus Christ.. He is our echo of Hope... our Hope is in the name of the Lord..
